立法院副院長洪秀柱昨（十四）日受邀到僑光科技大學，以「提升領導知能，活出精彩人生」為題演講，她在演講前接受媒體採訪時表示，她不管各種揣測、評論，現在只有一個目標「衝高民調，求得勝出」。

「戰士可以在戰場上失敗，不能在戰場上落跑」洪秀柱表示，國民黨總統初選已經開始，初選機制也啟動了，初選的機制一定要完成的，否則是不負責任的的事，不但對支持的人不負責，對自己也不負責。

洪秀柱說，那麼多連署黨員希望她參與這場競爭，不能都還沒起跑，就說要回家了，這太不像話了。她說，雖然最近媒體有評論、揣測及放話，希望黨中央不會這樣。

洪秀柱表示，國民黨主席朱立倫早就說「一切按照制度走，他要扮演總教練的角色」，洪秀柱說，她認為總教練會將初選辦得熱熱鬧鬧、完善盡美。

洪秀柱表示，希望競賽的舞台上，能多一些外界所認為重要人選來參選，讓黨員都能做出最好的選擇，代表國民黨打贏選戰，是很重要的。
